What the service produces

Documents and filing coordination in one case file

The initial launch is Tennessee-first. Work outside Tennessee requires a separately approved jurisdiction review before CFGS represents that a packet is filing-ready.

FOUNDATION

Formation plan

A jurisdiction-aware sequence showing decisions, dependencies, owners, approvals, fees, and evidence.

Typical outputs

  • Name and registered-agent readiness
  • Board, officer, membership, and authority decisions
  • Purpose, program, and public-benefit definition
  • Exception and professional-review list
DOCUMENTS

Governance package

Editable drafts and adoption checklists organized for officer, board, legal, tax, and finance review.

Typical outputs

  • Charter preparation worksheet
  • Bylaws and organizational resolutions
  • Conflict and financial-control policies
  • Board record and compliance file structure
FILINGS

Agency handoffs

Approved state, federal, county, and city steps are packaged for the signer or authorized filing representative.

Typical outputs

  • Tennessee formation packet
  • EIN readiness and designee instructions
  • Form 1023 or 1023-EZ readiness checklist
  • State tax, charitable, and local applicability review
COMPLIANCE

Launch calendar

Receipts, approvals, renewals, annual returns, board actions, and open conditions are tracked after formation.

Typical outputs

  • Acceptance and receipt register
  • Federal, state, and local due-date calendar
  • Banking and operating-readiness checklist
  • Open-condition and renewal tracker
Controlled filing path

Who prepares, who approves, and who submits

The formation coordinator assembles and checks the case file. It does not replace the authorized officer, agency account holder, attorney, CPA, enrolled agent, or registered-agent provider.

  1. 1
    Complete the online intake

Start without a required consultation. CFGS confirms Tennessee jurisdiction, principal county and city, governance choices, and intended tax-exemption path.

  2. 2
    Approve scope and professional reviews

The Statement of Work identifies CFGS preparation and coordination duties, outside filing fees, registered-agent arrangements, and decisions reserved for qualified reviewers.

  3. 3
    Prepare and review documents

The coordinator assembles drafts, checklists, evidence, and open questions. Officers and qualified reviewers approve the governing language and filing path.

  4. 4
    Use the correct filing channel

CFGS may coordinate an authorized Tennessee or local filing under the approved scope. The responsible party controls EIN authorization. An authorized officer signs and submits Form 1023 or 1023-EZ in Pay.gov.

  5. 5
    Reconcile receipts and deadlines

Staff verifies agency receipts, records effective dates, resolves exceptions, and activates the recurring compliance calendar.

Authority boundary

Preparation is not autonomous filing.

No agent may sign, pay, transmit, create an agency account for a client, select a legal or tax classification, or represent approval. Every external action requires the named human owner and the correct agency channel.

Required human checkpoints

  • Authorized officer approves formation facts and signatures
  • Qualified legal review for governing language and entity questions
  • Qualified tax review for exemption-path eligibility and tax positions
  • Officer-controlled IRS Pay.gov submission; the client controls passwords, taxpayer identifiers, banking data, and signatures
  • Filing fees and registered-agent charges are separate unless the signed scope says otherwise

Acceptance, exemption, registration, funding, and processing time are controlled by the receiving agencies and are never guaranteed.

Secure-intake safeguard

Do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, taxpayer IDs, payment credentials, signatures, or banking data through a general website form or an automation task. CFGS requests sensitive items only through an approved secure channel when the work actually requires them.

Start online

Build the case file before paying a filing fee.

Complete the self-guided readiness intake. CFGS will route the request, identify the required documents, and prepare the controlled scope for review.
