The Process

A clear, staged path — with a human review at every gate

Nothing moves forward automatically. Every stage below involves a CFGS staff review before your organization advances to the next one.

Nine Steps

From first conversation to final delivery

1
Learn and connect

Explore our programs, attend a workshop or clinic, or request a consultation with our team.

2
Apply and complete the readiness assessment

Submit the Grant Readiness application and complete the readiness assessment, which identifies missing documents and organizational gaps.

3
Eligibility review

CFGS staff review your application and readiness assessment and record an eligibility decision.

4
Program acceptance and agreement

Accepted organizations complete a participation agreement before any contribution or package-development step begins.

5
Client Services handoff

Your organization is handed off to Client Services, and we build a document inventory and project scope together.

6
Opportunity verification and package development

We verify grant opportunities against authoritative sources and develop your package, with drafts you can review along the way.

7
Financial, compliance, and quality review

The draft package passes financial, compliance, and quality-assurance review before it comes back to you.

8
Client review and approval

You review the completed package and approve it — nothing is finalized without your sign-off.

9
Final delivery

You receive the final editable package, a customized submission SOP, and a delivery record with checksum verification.

What delivery means: Final delivery does not mean CFGS has submitted the application on your behalf — you stay in control of submission.

CFGS prepares submission-ready grant packages and customized submission instructions. We do not guarantee funding. See our technology use disclosure and contribution policy for more detail.
