Is your organization funder-ready?
Funder-readiness is a mix of governance, documentation, and project clarity. Review the areas below, then start the full application when you're ready.
What funders typically look for
This is an educational overview, not a scored eligibility determination. A CFGS staff member reviews every application before any eligibility decision is made.
Current bylaws, an active board, a conflict-of-interest policy, and up-to-date registration or tax-exempt filings.
A current operating budget, a designated financial contact, and a basic understanding of restricted-fund handling.
A defined need, target population, and a rough sense of the outcomes your project is meant to produce.
Staff or volunteer capacity to carry out the project and report on it if funded.
Get readiness resources as they're released
If you're still building toward funder-readiness, tell us a little about your work and we'll share relevant checklists, workbooks, and workshop invitations. This is an interest form, not an application — no eligibility decision is made from it.
